The Traveller Stowaway Backpack was designed in collaboration with renowned musician and songwriter Chris Stapleton. A long-time friend of our brand, Chris puts Filson bags and jackets to good use when he tours. The Traveller collection is named after Chris’s highly acclaimed 2015 album. This ultralight backpack packs away into check-in, carry-on, or larger luggage pieces, ready to pull out and fill with the essentials for a day’s exploration.
This useful backpack was inspired by Chris’s life on tour. When he arrives in town, he needs a stowable pack he can pull out of his luggage to use while exploring. The lightweight ripstop cotton fabric is lightly dry-waxed for water resistance. On the exterior are full-width and side pockets with elasticized top seams to keep quick-access essentials close at hand. The top closure is a classic drawstring-cinch with a harness leather cord lock.
The feature that sets this backpack apart is the Rugged Twill bottom panel that transforms into a compact zippered pouch to stow the pack. The harness leather zipper tab is debossed with Chris’s initials. Nylon webbing grab handle and adjustable shoulder straps.
