The shell fabric is midweight dry-waxed cotton from England’s famed British Millerain. This wax finish provides lasting water resistance with a non-oily feel, and can be re-waxed time and again to maintain its weatherproof performance. The insulation is PrimaLoft®, which was originally engineered for U.S. Army as an alternative to goose down. Light and packable, PrimaLoft Gold’s warmth is comparable to down’s warmth when dry, and superior when wet.
The two-way front zipper is backed by a wind-blocking storm guard and extends to chin height. Side pockets secure with sturdy zippers to keep valuables safe. The drawcord-adjustable hood features a reinforced brim to maintain its shape when not worn over a cap. The snap-adjustable cuffs and a drawcord cinch in the hem seal in the warmth.
